Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-duty enterprise full-stack role where you will be expected to own features from the database all the way to the UI. If you enjoy building distributed systems using modern Java and heavy cloud infrastructure while still touching the front-end, this gig gives you plenty of architectural autonomy without drowning in endless meetings.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You will spend your days architecting, building, and scaling resilient microservices while integrating them with modern single-page applications. Expect to deal with real-world problems like optimizing complex SQL queries, debugging asynchronous message flows through Kafka, and untangling legacy Spring codebases to migrate them to cloud environments. You'll work closely with product and DevOps teams to ensure your code goes from local Docker containers all the way to production Kubernetes clusters smoothly.
The Core Tech Stack
You need deep fluency in Java 8/11/17 paired with Spring Boot and Spring Security to handle backend logic. On the front-end, a solid grasp of Angular or React with TypeScript is non-negotiable since you'll be building production-grade UI components. The infrastructure layer relies heavily on AWS, GCP, or Azure, backed by Kafka for messaging and a mix of relational databases like Oracle or PostgreSQL alongside NoSQL options like MongoDB.
Interview Expectations
Expect the engineering panel to drill down into your concurrency and microservices design patterns, likely asking you how you handle distributed transactions and eventual consistency when a downstream service fails. They are looking to see if you can anticipate architectural bottlenecks before writing code, so be ready to defend your choices on when to use a relational database versus a NoSQL store for specific domain models.
Application Advice
Make sure your resume doesn't just list technologies, but explicitly highlights your experience scaling microservices and deploying them via Docker and Kubernetes. Drop specific keywords like Spring Security, Kafka, and your framework of choice (Angular or React) right into your professional summary so you easily clear the initial ATS filters.
