SAP IBP Functional Analyst Lead - Supply & Response / Inventory Optimization
Job Description & Details
This is a hands-on functional leadership role for someone who actually knows how to configure and optimize SAP IBP, rather than just managing from a high level. If you live and breathe supply chain planning and have deep technical chops in SAP IBP Supply & Response and Inventory Optimization, this gig lets you own the platform end-to-end.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You will spend your days bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical execution, translating complex supply chain requirements into robust SAP configurations. Expect to roll up your sleeves to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize IBP functionality while driving data integrations via CPI-DS. You'll analyze current planning workflows, write functional specs, and mentor teams on IBP best practices without losing touch with the hands-on system setup.
The Core Tech Stack
You need absolute mastery over SAP IBP—specifically the Supply & Response and Inventory Optimization modules—alongside solid experience with CPI-DS for data integration and foundational SAP ERP knowledge. The company relies heavily on these tools to synchronize global supply networks, meaning your configuration decisions will directly impact operational agility and inventory health.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring team to skip the high-level theory and ask you to walk through a specific time you troubleshot a complex algorithm failure in IBP Supply & Response or optimized an inventory optimization profile. They want to see if you can explain the exact configuration steps you took in CPI-DS to resolve a data pipeline bottleneck under tight deadlines.
Application Advice
To get past the ATS, your resume needs to explicitly feature keywords like SAP IBP, Supply & Response, Inventory Optimization, and CPI-DS right at the top. Don't hide your technical depth behind vague project management titles; make sure your bullet points emphasize actual hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, and direct stakeholder collaboration.
