Senior Cloud Infrastructure / SRE Engineer

Infinite Computer Solutions

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-duty SRE and cloud engineering gig where you will spend your days wrangling massive AWS environments and hybrid setups. If you enjoy untangling legacy middleware like WebLogic alongside modern containerized workloads while automating everything in sight, this role gives you the playground to do it.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Expect to spend a good chunk of your time building and scaling AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible, while dealing with the reality of production firefighting. You'll handle root cause analyses for complex outages, migrate on-prem workloads to the cloud, and keep a close eye on high-availability configurations. You will also bridge the gap between development teams and operations, ensuring that Java-based enterprise apps don't fall over when traffic spikes.

The Core Tech Stack

You need deep, battle-tested experience with AWS core services, Terraform for state management, and Ansible for configuration management. A strong foundation in Linux administration is non-negotiable since you'll be dropping into production boxes to troubleshoot. Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions is critical, as is knowing your way around observability platforms like Dynatrace, Splunk, and CloudWatch to track down elusive performance bottlenecks.

Interview Expectations

Be ready to walk through a severe production outage you handled in the past, detailing how you triaged the issue, performed the RCA, and implemented preventative measures so the hiring manager can gauge your actual SRE maturity. You will also likely face deep-dive questions on Terraform state management and AWS networking primitives like VPC peering, transit gateways, and routing strategies to prove you can architect secure, scalable cloud environments from scratch.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume doesn't just list tools, but highlights measurable outcomes from your infrastructure projects—such as downtime reduction percentages or the scale of the AWS environments you managed. Explicitly weave in keywords like Terraform, Ansible, SRE, Kubernetes, and AWS migration throughout your experience bullets to effortlessly sail past the automated ATS filters.
