Business Analyst – Trade Finance

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

Honestly, this is a contract gig looking for a senior Business Analyst who can bridge trade‑finance processes and SAP TPM for a retail client. They need someone who can own the end‑to‑end flow from trade promotions to cash application, and they’ll be juggling both business and IT stakeholders.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You’ll spend most of your day mapping trade‑finance requirements, translating them into SAP TPM (and S/4HANA) functional specs, and then shepherding those specs through the dev and QA teams. Expect a lot of stakeholder workshops, data‑validation sessions for cash‑application and HighRadius, and ad‑hoc reporting to keep the finance ops crew happy. The role is very hands‑on with the business side, so you’ll be the go‑to person when a promotion rule breaks or a cash‑posting mismatch shows up.

The Core Tech Stack

The non‑negotiables are deep trade‑finance domain knowledge and solid experience with SAP TPM (Retail) and S/4HANA functional modules. They also want you to have worked with TELUS/Blacksmith for food‑service workflows and HighRadius for cash‑application automation. If you’ve ever built end‑to‑end trade‑promotion processes in SAP and can speak the language of both finance and IT, you’ll fit right in.

Interview Expectations

  1. “Walk me through how you’d design a trade‑promotion workflow in SAP TPM that feeds into HighRadius for cash‑application.” – They’re looking for a clear end‑to‑end diagram, justification of master‑data design, and how you’d handle exceptions.
  2. “Explain a situation where you had to reconcile conflicting priorities between business users and the IT team. What was your approach and the outcome?” – They want proof you can manage stakeholder politics and still deliver functional specs on time.

Application Advice

Tailor your resume to echo the exact keywords they dropped: “Trade Finance”, “SAP TPM”, “S/4HANA”, “HighRadius”, “Cash Application”, and “Stakeholder Management”. Highlight any projects where you acted as the liaison between finance and IT, especially if you delivered a promotion‑management solution. A concise bullet that reads “Led end‑to‑end Trade Promotion implementation in SAP TPM, integrated with HighRadius cash‑application” will get past most ATS filters.
