Job Description & Details
This role places you right in the middle of a massive AI scaling initiative for claims processing, specifically working on the Claims AI 10.0 architecture. If you like bridging the gap between heavy back-end data pipelines, AI/ML integrations, and sleek front-end UIs that real enterprise users rely on, this is a solid gig.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll be spending your days building and scaling end-to-end applications that drive automated workflows and business logic across multiple lines of business like PCRB, E&I UNET, and Disputes. Expect to design robust APIs, integrate AI/ML services into everyday workflows, and make sure everything stays secure, performant, and resilient under production pressure. You will constantly collaborate with product and platform teams to turn abstract requirements into clean, production-ready code.
The Core Tech Stack
You need to be completely comfortable owning both sides of the application stack. On the front end, modern JavaScript or TypeScript alongside a solid UI framework is non-negotiable since you'll be building responsive interfaces for complex data. On the back end, you should bring strong chops in .NET, Python, Java, or Node.js. Cloud-native patterns, API design, and secure coding practices are absolute must-haves because this system deals with heavy enterprise data exchange and workflow orchestration at scale.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring team to hit you with a system design question around how you would architect a real-time workflow orchestration service that consumes an asynchronous AI/ML prediction endpoint without blocking the user interface. They want to see that you understand event-driven architectures, graceful error handling, and latency mitigation. You'll also likely be probed on concurrency and data consistency across microservices, where the interviewer is secretly testing your ability to prevent race conditions when multiple workers update claims data simultaneously.
Application Advice
When updating your resume for this role, make sure your experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and back-end frameworks (.NET, Python, Java, or Node.js) stands out right away. Don't just list technologies—highlight instances where you've built and scaled end-to-end APIs, integrated third-party services or machine learning endpoints, and improved application performance. Drop explicit keywords like 'workflow orchestration', 'cloud-native', and 'secure coding practices' to easily clear the ATS filters.
