AI Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Description & Details

This is a hands-on technical role where you will act as the bridge between client-facing business requirements and modern AI-driven software delivery. If you enjoy working directly with stakeholders, architecting prototypes, and rapidly delivering enterprise solutions using AI-assisted tools, this position puts you right on the bleeding edge of software engineering.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days collaborating directly with customers to figure out what business problems they are trying to solve, then translating those needs into scalable technical designs. Your workflow won't just be writing raw code from scratch; instead, you'll be designing, generating, and critically validating AI-crafted code, specs, and automation scripts. You'll build agentic workflows, run proof-of-concepts, and ensure that everything pushed to production meets enterprise security and governance standards while leveraging modern test frameworks like Playwright.

The Core Tech Stack

Python is your primary language here, and you'll need to be comfortable using it to debug, optimize, and thoroughly review AI-generated code. You are expected to deeply understand modern application architectures, APIs, and microservices. Crucially, this isn't just about knowing how to code—you must have hands-on experience leveraging AI-native coding assistants like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude, along with a firm grasp on CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and test automation frameworks.

Interview Expectations

The hiring managers are going to probe your ability to critically review AI-generated code rather than just blindly trusting it. Expect a scenario where they hand you a flawed piece of AI-written Python and ask you to spot the hidden security vulnerabilities or edge-case failures. They'll also likely ask you to walk through how you structure context and prompts for an agentic workflow, wanting to see if you actually understand prompt and context engineering or if you're just typing random queries into a chat window.

Application Advice

To get past the ATS, make sure your resume explicitly highlights your hands-on experience with Python alongside specific AI development tools like Cursor, Claude, or GitHub Copilot. Don't just list traditional software engineering duties; frame your past work around modern delivery models, spec-driven development, and customer-facing consulting where you successfully drove technical solutions from concept to production.
