Job Description & Details
This is a hands-on technical lead role blending traditional enterprise Java architecture with modern AI integration. You'll be bridging the gap between legacy backend reliability and cutting-edge generative AI frameworks, meaning you'll need to know how to build systems that scale while keeping up with fast-moving AI toolkits.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You will spend your days designing and delivering robust microservices in Java and Spring Boot while simultaneously building out responsive, modern frontends using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind. The real challenge here isn't just writing the code, but architecting the connective tissue between traditional REST APIs and emerging AI frameworks like Semantic Kernel or LangChain. You'll be expected to lead by example, making critical technical decisions and guiding the engineering team through complex full-stack implementations.
The Core Tech Stack
You absolutely must have deep production experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices, as these form the backbone of the entire application ecosystem. On the frontend, proficiency in TypeScript and React—alongside modern tooling like Vite, Material UI, and Tailwind—is non-negotiable. Beyond the standard stack, familiarity with AI orchestration tools like LangGraph, LangChain, and Semantic Kernel is what will actually set you apart and allow you to succeed in wiring up the LLM capabilities this team is betting on.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring manager to press you on how you handle state management and error handling when integrating asynchronous AI LLM responses into a synchronous React and Java microservices pipeline. They will likely ask you to explain a time you optimized a slow-performing Spring Boot REST API that was bottlenecking a frontend React application. They aren't just looking for syntax knowledge here; they want to see how you troubleshoot end-to-end performance issues under pressure.
Application Advice
Make sure your resume strongly highlights your dual capabilities in backend Java architecture and modern frontend development, rather than leaning too heavily into just one side. Explicitly list out your experience with Spring Boot microservices, TypeScript, and any hands-on exposure to AI frameworks like LangChain or Semantic Kernel so you easily pass the automated ATS keyword filters.
