Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) / Healthcare AI & Data Solution Consultant

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a hands-on client-facing role where you will bridge the gap between complex healthcare operations and modern AI-driven software delivery. If you enjoy jumping into ambiguous situations, wrangling messy healthcare data, and building actual production systems that make a measurable clinical impact, this is worth a close look.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days acting as the technical glue between clinical stakeholders and core engineering teams. Expect to lead discovery sessions, map out chaotic workflows around claims or utilization management, and prototype end-to-end data pipelines. You won't just write specs; you'll own the delivery lifecycle from an initial proof-of-concept all the way to production deployment and operational scaling in enterprise cloud environments.

The Core Tech Stack

You need a solid foundation in API programming, distributed systems, and modern cloud infrastructure like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Just as importantly, you are expected to be fluent in modern GenAI tooling for daily coding and analysis, while understanding how to apply LLMs and prompt engineering within strict healthcare data privacy constraints.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to test your ability to handle ambiguity by throwing an open-ended clinical workflow problem at you and asking how you would design a data pipeline to solve it. They are secretly looking to see if you can manage stakeholders who don't speak tech while simultaneously whiteboarding a scalable cloud architecture. You should also be ready to walk through a past project where you took a messy client requirement and turned it into production-ready code.

Application Advice

Skip the generic corporate resume summary and lead with your concrete experience building APIs, data pipelines, and cloud-native solutions in highly regulated domains. Make sure to explicitly highlight any background you have in healthcare payer or provider operations, such as claims processing or revenue cycle management, so the ATS instantly picks up on your domain expertise.
