Principal Solution Architect - Microsoft Fabric & AI

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a high-level technical leadership role where you will be driving massive data transformation and AI initiatives for enterprise clients. If you enjoy jumping between high-level client strategy and hands-on architecture with Microsoft Fabric and modern data stacks, this contract will keep you thoroughly engaged.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days acting as the technical anchor between the client's business stakeholders and your distributed onshore/offshore engineering teams. Expect to lead complex design reviews, build out proof-of-concepts, and sort out gnarly data engineering bottlenecks. You won't just be drawing architecture diagrams; you'll be actively shaping how the team implements Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse patterns, and GenAI tooling to deliver actual business value.

The Core Tech Stack

You need deep, battle-tested expertise in Microsoft Fabric—specifically Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and OneLake components. Paired with that, a strong command over modern cloud data platforms like Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake is mandatory. Because this role leans heavily into modern capabilities, you also need to understand how to leverage GenAI solutions, LLMs, and AI-assisted development tools like ClaudeCode to squeeze productivity out of your engineering teams.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to push past your high-level consulting answers and grill you on practical trade-offs. They'll likely ask you to explain how you would design a multi-tenant enterprise data architecture using Microsoft Fabric while managing performance and cost limits in OneLake. The interviewer is secretly trying to figure out if you actually know how to build systems that scale or if you just talk about them. They want to see how you troubleshoot when a pipeline fails under load and how you guide junior engineers out of a technical trap.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume doesn't read like a generic project manager's timeline. You need to explicitly feature your hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and large-scale cloud data migrations right at the top. Weave in keywords like Lakehouse, OneLake, RAG, AI Agents, and distributed team leadership so your profile easily glides past the ATS and lands directly in front of the hiring partner.
