Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-hitting Teamcenter PLM Architect role requiring someone who can walk into a room and instantly command a room full of stakeholders and engineers. You will be driving end-to-end implementations, customizations, and complex enterprise integrations without a lot of hand-holding.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your day-to-day will involve translating messy business requirements into robust, scalable PLM architectures while steering the overall technical roadmap. You'll juggle Teamcenter implementations, custom developments, and critical integrations with external systems like SAP, while making sure modules like Product Configurator, Easy Plan, and SLM are playing nicely together. Expect to spend a solid chunk of your time troubleshooting architectural bottlenecks, guiding junior devs, and acting as the bridge between executive business goals and deep-in-the-trenches engineering.
The Core Tech Stack
To survive and thrive here, you need deep, battle-tested expertise in Teamcenter PLM Architecture and hands-on development. You can't just talk the talk; you need real implementation scars working with Teamcenter Product Configurator, Easy Plan, and Service Lifecycle Management (SLM). On top of that, fluency in SAP Teamcenter integration is non-negotiable because this ecosystem relies entirely on smooth data flow between enterprise resource planning and PLM.
Interview Expectations
When you sit down with the hiring team, they are going to push you on scalability and failure points. Expect them to ask how you would architect a massive data migration and synchronization strategy between Teamcenter and SAP while minimizing downtime. They want to hear about your battle stories regarding complex customizations, how you handle upgrade cycles without breaking custom data models, and how you deal with stakeholders who want unrealistic feature timelines.
Application Advice
Make sure your resume doesn't just read like a laundry list of software tools. Explicitly highlight large-scale Teamcenter implementation projects where you acted as the primary architect, specifically calling out SAP integrations, Easy Plan, and SLM modules. Feature keywords like 'Enterprise PLM Solution Design', 'Teamcenter Customization', and 'Product Configurator' prominently in your experience section to make sure you clear the ATS and catch the eye of the technical hiring manager.
