Kinaxis Business Architect

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-duty data migration and architecture role centered entirely around Kinaxis Rapid Response and complex supply chain systems. If you enjoy untangling messy enterprise data and bridging the gap between business stakeholders and data engineering teams, this gig will keep you on your toes.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days knee-deep in source-to-target data mappings, figuring out how to funnel legacy enterprise data into the Kinaxis data model without breaking the entire supply chain workflow. You will be running data profiling, identifying ugly data quality gaps, partnering with engineers to build out ETL pipelines or API integrations, and steering the whole process through mock migrations, UAT, and final cutover. Expect plenty of cross-functional alignment calls where you act as the translator between business logic and hard technical specs.

The Core Tech Stack

You need a deep mastery of supply chain planning processes combined with practical technical skills like SQL, data profiling, and ETL concepts. Experience with Kinaxis Rapid Response or Maestro is practically non-negotiable here, alongside familiarity with enterprise ERPs like SAP or Oracle. The team relies on you to understand master data management inside and out, so knowing how data hierarchies and governance standards operate at scale will make or break your day-to-day survival.

Interview Expectations

When you get on the call, be ready for a deep dive into a scenario where a massive data migration failed right before a mock cutover due to conflicting master data hierarchies—the interviewer wants to see your exact troubleshooting methodology and how you handle stakeholder panic. They will also likely quiz you on how you handle data profiling and gap analysis for complex legacy systems that have zero documentation, looking for pragmatism over textbook definitions.

Application Advice

Skip the generic project management fluff and put your actual data mapping and supply chain wins right at the top of your resume. Make sure keywords like Kinaxis Rapid Response, source-to-target mapping, master data management, and ETL concepts are explicitly stated because the automated screening filters are dialed in for these exact domain competencies.
