Job Description & Details
This is a hands-on CRM administrative and optimization role where you won't just be taking tickets—you'll be actively untangling messy business workflows and rebuilding them from the ground up. If you like owning a platform end-to-end and turning chaotic operational requirements into clean, automated systems, this gig is worth a serious look.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your day-to-day will be a mix of stakeholder wrangling and deep system configuration. You will sit down with different department leads to figure out why their current processes are breaking down, translate those operational complaints into technical requirements, and then jump into the CRM to build out custom boards, workflows, forms, and automations. You'll also act as the go-to troubleshooter when integrations fail or dashboards stop making sense, ensuring everything runs smoothly without constantly bugging engineering.
The Core Tech Stack
Deep, hands-on CRM configuration experience is non-negotiable here. You need to know the platform inside and out—specifically how to build complex automations, set up granular permission structures, and design intuitive dashboards that people will actually use. Experience with APIs, webhooks, or third-party integration platforms is a massive plus because you'll likely be connecting this CRM to a stack of other business tools. If you only know how to update user fields and can't build scalable workflows or fix broken integrations, you'll struggle in this environment.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring manager to hand you a messy, real-world business scenario—like a broken lead-to-deal handoff—and ask you to talk through how you would configure the CRM to fix it from scratch. They aren't looking for a textbook definition of a workflow; they want to see your troubleshooting methodology, how you handle conflicting stakeholder demands, and whether you understand the downstream data implications of the automations you build.
Application Advice
Skip the generic corporate resume speak and highlight specific metrics around the CRM systems you've optimized in the past. Make sure keywords like 'workflow optimization,' 'CRM automations,' 'stakeholder management,' and 'API integrations' are front and center to clear the ATS. If you can point to a time you took a totally broken sales or operational process and turned it into a streamlined, automated machine, put that right at the top of your experience section.
